Corry man dies from single-vehicle crash in Crawford County

(WJET/WFXP)– A Corry man is dead following a single-vehicle crash in the early hours of Thursday morning in Crawford County, while the driver was headed towards Erie County.

According to Pennsylvania State Police in Corry, the crash happened around 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 19 on Sundback Road, just past Sioux Train in Sparta Township.

As the driver, identified as 39-year-old Jonathan Cole of Corry, was headed west on Sundback Road, police said he failed to negotiate the right curve in the road and went off the left side of the road.

Once off the road, police said Cole’s car hit a tree head-on, spun about 90 degrees and hit another tree with its passenger side before finally stopping…
