Millcreek Twp. votes on transition team as they adopt new form of gov.

Now that Millcreek residents have cast their vote for a new form of township government, the transition process is underway.

In a 3-0 vote, the township supervisors created a government transition committee to act in an advisory role to the supervisors as the transition occurs.

The new government is a “manager council system,” allowing five members on a township council, as well as a township manager.

“Do we need to change any ordinances? Things like that. A lot of that will be cleanup for when it’s changing. Where things currently say supervisor should it actually say manager? If it says supervisor, should it say council? And who makes final decisions on certain things?” said Kyle Morris, a Millcreek Township supervisor…
