Sheriff’s office hosting concealed carry event for southern Erie Co. residents

(WJET/WFXP)– Erie County residents looking to get their concealed carry license will be able to get the process started or renew their current permit with the Erie County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said they’ll be hosting a PA License to Carry Firearm event the evening of March 31 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 264 in Corry from 5:30 to 9 pm.

Interested applicants must be an Erie County resident age 21 or older in order to apply at the event and must bring a valid PA driver’s license or photo ID with their current address and $20 cash to cover the application fee.

Licenses submitted online will not be able to be processed at the event, the sheriff’s office said. Those will need to be completed at their office.
