Bellefonte woman charged after high-speed chase, threatening state trooper: PSP

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Bellefonte woman is facing charges after allegedly threatening an officer following a high-speed chase and traffic stop.

According to a criminal complaint, a state trooper was placed along Eagle Creek Lane and S. Eagle Valley Road in Union Township March 6, around 4:10 p.m., when a gray Dodge Avenger sped past them. Police followed to catch up to the car, with speeds reaching over 120 mph, before initiating a traffic stop on the vehicle near Silverdale Road when the driver eventually pulled over.

During the stop, police say, the driver identified as Hayle Ann Bacon, 31, was very agitated and aggressive, and allegedly showed signs of impairment. A search of the car allegedly yielded multiple containers containing THC wax and wax residue, and a clear plastic bag of orange colored pills.
