Jamestown, New York – Strong winds and bursts of snow could create dangerous overnight travel across western New York beginning late Friday as wind gusts near 60 mph whip snow across roads in the region’s higher terrain.

According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, a Winter Weather Advisory begins at 5 p.m. Friday and continues until 8 a.m. Saturday for Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and southern Erie counties, including Jamestown, Olean, Warsaw, Orchard Park, and Springville
