(WJET/WFXP)– A Bronx, New York, man who previously pleaded guilty to possessing 8 kilograms of cocaine to bring to Erie received his sentence on Thursday.
US Attorney Troy Rivetti’s office announced that 35-year-old Jose Baez Cabrera was sentenced to 46 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, provided he is not removed from the country once his sentence is up.

Federal prosecutors said Baez Cabrera was arrested back on August 16, 2023, after he was found with 8 kilograms of cocaine across the commonwealth with plans of delivering them to dealers in Erie.
