During a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 20 the EMTA revealed four new Compressed Natural Gases Trolley buses along with several other transit vehicles.
The vehicles were made possible through funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the Federal Transportation Administration. Total funding for the vehicles was 5.8 million.
The new trolley’s will be added to route operations next month. The trolleys will have ADA accessible ramps, mobility device securements, antimicrobial seats, USB charging ports and free WIFI. Several 40-foot buses and lift vehicles will be added throughout 2026…
