EMTA unveils four new technology-packed trolley buses

The EMTA unveiled its newest additions to their trolley fleet on Friday.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was hosted on Friday morning at the EMTA joint operations facility, where they revealed four new Bayliner Trolleys.

Erie Cotton Products set to expand thanks to new loan

The buses were purchased using funds from PennDOT and the Federal Transportation Administration. The authority is excited to introduce the technology-packed vehicles to the community.

“Innovatively speaking, the technologies on these buses are very advanced. you’ve got wifi capabilities, USB plug-in capabilities, tap to pay, token transit application, the Find My Ride for our para-transit division. It’s great. And not only do we have the advancement of those technologies, but it’s a clean, safe way to get around town,” said Jeremy Peterson, CEO of the EMTA.
