A local university is repping blue and green to celebrate its Giving Day on campus Wednesday.
Mercyhurst giving day is a time for alumni, parents, staff and others to come together and give back to their college.
Work restarts to improve Peninsula Drive
The university is looking to raise $400,000 during the 24-hour donation drive, and all the money raised will go to benefit students through scholarships, campus improvements, athletics and the arts.
As of now, the university is more than halfway to their goal with a few hours to go, and the college has found unique ways to get the community engaged.

“We’ve partnered with the community, our community has really stepped up, and has really helped support us. Peace Love and Little Donuts is offering Mercyhurst donuts for two days and we’ll get proceeds from that. Popluck Popcorn also is contributing.
