A local family is turning a frightening start to their son’s life into a push to help others, as a community blood drive held Thursday aims to honor the baby who depended on lifesaving donations.
The event at Walnut Creek Middle School was inspired by Arty Siderius, who was born prematurely earlier this year and required multiple blood transfusions before he was strong enough to leave the hospital.
