On April 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Waldron Campus Center’s Yehl Ballroom at Gannon University, several students from three academic colleges will be recognized for their accomplishments in research writing, journalism and poetry during the 49th Annual Writing Awards. Winners of Gannon’s national high school poetry contest will also be recognized.
This is the 49th annual Writing Awards Night and will be free and open to the public.
Matthew Shenoda will be the distinguished guest poet. Shenoda is the author of several books including “The Way Of The Earth,” “Bearden’s Odyssey: Poets Respond to the Art of Romare Bearden,” “Tahrir Suite,” “Seasons of Lotus, Seasons of Bone” and “Somewhere Else.”…
