PSP searching for person who took $27,000 of wire from local store

(WJET/WFXP)– Pennsylvania State Police in Erie are asking the public for information after they said thousands of dollars in electrical wiring was stolen from behind a local store.

PSP Erie said an estimated $27,000 in wiring was stolen from the Tops Friend Markets on High Street in Waterford on April 4, around 1:30 am, adding that they were kept in two large bins behind the store by the store’s generator.

The suspect was described as driving a silver or white truck, possibly a Ford F-150 extended cab, that drove north on Route 19 through the roundabout, then left the store heading east on Route 97.
