JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A former Jamestown resident has been sentenced to 20 years in state prison for the death of an infant in 2024.
That sentence for 28-year-old Sean Thomas follows a plea agreement that reduced the original charge, according to the Chautauqua County District Attorney’s Office. Thomas will serve 20 years in prison followed by five years of parole supervision.
Thomas was convicted of first-degree manslaughter in connection with the April 2024 death of 8-month-old Aniyah Turk in the City of Jamestown. The sentence stems from a plea deal reached on Dec. 15, 2025, shortly before his case would have gone to trial…
