Erie Man Charged After Alleged DWI and Hit-and-Run in Forestville

(WNY News Now) – FORESTVILLE, N.Y. — A Pennsylvania man is facing multiple charges after deputies said he left the scene of a property damage crash and was later found impaired while driving in the Town of Hanover.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office said deputies and the New York State Police responded to a report of a vehicle leaving the scene of an accident on Main Street in Forestville at about 3:27 p.m. on April 23.

Investigators said the vehicle was located a short time later, and the driver was identified as David P. Johnson, 56, of Erie, Pennsylvania
