COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. – Police arrested a 58-year-old man after he allegedly threatened to kill lawn workers multiple times in a neighborhood dispute, according to the Cottage Grove Police Department.
CGPD officials said that officers responded to the 2100 block of Wilson Avenue around 10:30 a.m. on June 4 after multiple people called 911 reporting a man confronting people, yelling and threatening to kill them. According to Cottage Grove Police Chief Cory Chase, Brett Sahs confronted the workers and threatened them. The workers told police they were hired by the neighborhood homeowner’s association to perform lawn maintenance. They had been working at Sahs’ home on Wilson Avenue when he allegedly confronted and threatened them, police said. Authorities said that, after the workers left and moved to another nearby home in the neighborhood, Sahs approached them again and continued to yell at them and threaten to kill them. He then returned to his home where he called the property management company for his residence and repeated his threats to kill them, Chase said.
“Sahs stated he had a gun and was going to shoot somebody,” Chase said…
