ODFW hosted Free Fishing Weekend to broaden access and get more people outdoors

Oregonians and visitors were able to fish, crab and clam anywhere in the state without a fishing license during Oregon’s Free Fishing Weekend on June 6 and 7.

The annual event, organized by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, was aimed at making fishing more accessible and encouraging people to get outdoors and explore Oregon’s waterways.
