Linebacker target chooses newfound Oregon rival week after visiting Eugene

Last weekend, the Oregon Ducks kicked off official visit season as Dan Lanning and the staff brought a loaded group of recruits to campus. The weekend brought the Ducks one commitment from elite linebacker Toa Satele, while it appeared that there was a ton of progress made with other targets. While you want to leave every official visit weekend with several commitments, it’s also about making progress in recruitments.

Leaving the first weekend of official visits, the Ducks looked to be rounding into place for several commitments, but just a week later it looks like Dan Lanning and the staff may need to go back to the drawing board.

Oregon LB target Drew Williams commits to Kentucky

On Sunday, 3-star linebacker recruit Drew Williams announced that he was committing to Kentucky, jus a week after he took his official visit to Eugene.

The news of Drew Williams picking Kentucky comes as a bit of a surprise as it looked like the Ducks put themselves in a great place. After visiting Eugene, Drew Williams said the following to Rivals’ Max Torres.
