Eugene police find hidden camera believed linked to burglary ring targeting Asian resident

EUGENE, Ore. — Eugene police say officers have located a hidden camera believed to have been used to monitor an Asian family, raising concerns about a burglary ring that has previously targeted Asian homeowners and business owners.

According to the Eugene Police Department (EPD), investigators believe the camera may be connected to a pattern of organized burglaries in which suspects surveil victims before breaking into their homes while they are away at work. Police also reported a suspicious vehicle in the area.

Authorities are asking residents to watch for suspicious activity in their neighborhoods, including unfamiliar vehicles or individuals posing as delivery workers or service crews.
