State to investigate Springfield’s acting superintendent hiring process

The Oregon Government Ethics Commission (OGEC) opened a case into Springfield Public Schools board members regarding how they went about selecting an acting superintendent.

Now-former SPS board member Nicole De Graff levied a complaint against board members Jonathan Light, Amber Langworthy and Ken Kohl, first to the district, then to OGEC.

OGEC opened a case, triggering an investigation into all four board members for potential violations of public meeting law during an executive session on June 12 .
