Junction City gets a new cafe with Scandinavian roots

JUNCTION CITY, Ore. – The Glenwood North opens Saturday, bringing together favorite menu items from two Eugene restaurants while embracing the Scandinavian heritage that has long been a part of the community.

The new restaurant takes over the former Viking Inn location. Owners say the space combines the best of Glenwood’s, creating a familiar experience for returning customers while introducing the brand to Junction City.

“The cool thing about Viking legacy and Nordic legacy is, you know, we’re travelers, we’re explorers, we’re pioneers,” co-owner Edson Clements said. “I kind of view my mom as an original restaurant pioneer.”…
