LANE COUNTY, Ore. — A head-on crash on Highway 58 near Oakridge left two people dead Wednesday evening, according to Oregon State Police.
Troopers said they responded at about 5:56 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026, to a two-vehicle fatal crash on Hwy 58 near milepost 42 in Lane County.
The preliminary investigation found a red Toyota 4Runner, driven westbound by Colton Zachary Bias, 25, of Springfield, entered the oncoming lane for an unknown reason and collided head-on with an eastbound white Mack commercial motor vehicle driven by Collin Mitchell Owens, 60, also of Springfield, police said…
