When Vanessa Barbarisi interviewed for the top role at Springfield Utility Board, she asked to see her best friend’s and parents’ utility bills.
“I wanted to see: What are you seeing? How are we messaging to you? How frequently are you getting this information? What are your options for paying?” Barbarisi said in an interview with Lookout Eugene-Springfield. “Because it tells me, what’s your actual relationship with SUB as an organization.”
That relationship is important to Barbarisi, who began her new job as chief executive officer and general manager at the utility June 25.
