On Sunday, July 26, the Eugene Challengers’ single-A team, the Ole Athletics, made program history by winning the American Legion Single A championship for the first time.
“It was one of the best feelings in the world,” fifth-year head coach KJ Strickland said. “That’s the reason that people come out and play for the Challengers, because of the aura and the chance to go win a state title and compete for something really big.”
