LANE COUNTY, OR — An emergency alert sent to residents across Lane County early Friday morning was only intended for a small area near a police incident in Eugene.
The Central Lane Communications Center confirmed the alert was mistakenly sent countywide instead of only to residents within the intended area.
The alert was connected to a Eugene Police SWAT response in the 300 block of Archie Street.
