EUGENE, Ore. – Fire crews put out a fire at an abandoned building on Highway 99 Friday morning, according to Eugene Springfield Fire officials.
Fire officials said crews were called to Porky’s at 796 Highway 99 on Sept. 11 at 9:31 a.m. The fire department’s Fire Marshal’s division had previously identified the building as unsafe for crews to operate in.
Engine 8 arrived five minutes after dispatch and found fire on the outside of the building. Crews quickly knocked down the exterior fire while Truck Operator 2 worked to open the boarded-up doors on three sides of the structure…
