A Eugene man was arrested Sunday after Eugene Police Department (EPD) said he twice rode his bicycle into a 73-year-old woman on purpose in downtown Eugene, knocking her to the ground and injuring her arm.
At 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13, Eugene police officers were dispatched to a report of an assault. The woman told officers she was sitting on her blankets with her dog in Eugene’s Kesey Square when a man on a bicycle rode close to her. After she told him to watch out, police said he turned around and rode into her, knocking her down.
Her arm became caught in the bicycle and she suffered a cut to her arm, EPD said…
