Firefighters in Eugene quickly knocked down a kitchen fire Sunday morning that sent smoke into the second floor of a multi-unit residential building on High Street.
At 9:11 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20, Eugene Springfield Fire (ESF) units were dispatched to a structure fire reported to be near 17th Avenue and High Street. A caller said they could see fire through a window of a building, but couldn’t specify what type of building. The downtown station responded as part of a full first-alarm fire response and arrived within four minutes of the call.
