EUGENE, Ore. — Visitors to Fern Ridge Wildlife Area will not be able to use the Coyote Creek access site through April 2027 as construction continues on a major upgrade to the area, according to the Oregon State Marine Board (OSMB).
The Coyote Creek access site is fully closed to the public for safety during construction, which began in September. The closure includes any walk-in access through April 1, 2027.
The project will convert the existing walk-in site into a paved, fully ADA-accessible non-motorized boat launch for paddlecraft.
