Donations equip Oregon State Police vehicles in Lane County with 39 AEDs

EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon State Police troopers in Lane County will now have faster access to lifesaving equipment while responding to medical emergencies, thanks to a donation that put automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in patrol vehicles.

Oregon State Police said Oregon Community Credit Union Foundation and the PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation donated AEDs for OSP patrol and Fish and Wildlife vehicles in Lane County. In all, 39 AEDs have been deployed to troopers in the Springfield, Oakridge and Florence patrol offices.
