Two men jailed after Eugene SWAT raid uncovers meth, weapons

EUGENE, Ore. – Eugene police arrested two men and seized about half a pound of methamphetamine after a months-long drug investigation on Briarcliff Drive, according to the Eugene Police Department.

EPD officials said their Street Crimes Unit started investigating a home in the 100 block of Briarcliff Drive in September after community members complained about heavy traffic at all hours. Police said cars, bikes and people were constantly coming and going from the house. Officers got a search warrant from Lane County Circuit Court on Sept. 30. Because police believed multiple people were inside and firearms might be present, SWAT, K9, the Drone Team, Crisis Negotiation Team and detectives helped serve the warrant.

Police arrested a suspect, identified as Brian Willard Ferrell, in the 2000 block of River Road after watching him leave the house. Officers found about 27 grams of meth on him and charged him with possession of a substantial quantity of methamphetamine. More charges could follow…
