PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Eugene police are warning the community about an online job recruitment scam after a woman in the area lost $80,000.
Officials said the woman, a senior citizen, had accepted the job from a person pretending to be from ZipRecruiter, thinking it would help her supplement her retirement income.

The woman reported the scam to police in September. Investigators connected her to local resources, but it is not clear if she can get her money back…
