EUGENE, Ore. — Eugene School District 4J has begun a four-month process to select a new name for César Chávez Elementary School, with a final school board vote expected in February 2027.
A renaming committee made up of representatives from the school, district and community has established a process that begins with accepting name nominations and concludes with a recommendation to the school board.
