These Lane County sites are open for debris drop-off following Oregon winter storm

Eugene, Springfield and the rest of Lane County were still working Thursday to recover from the ice storm that slammed into the area a week earlier. Thousands of trees fell or were damaged and residents countywide reported significant challenges with cleanup. To help, some governments and private groups were offering recycling, drop-off locations and other services.

Lane County debris drop-off locations

Lane County is opening three locations where residents can drop off storm debris from last week’s severe ice storm for free. Upon arrival, people will be asked to confirm their ZIP Code and County Staff will estimate the volume of debris in cubic yards.

Commercial contractors performing clean up for a fee may not use the locations, according to Lane County.

The following debris locations will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the weekends of Jan. 26 to 28, Feb. 2 to 4 and Feb. 9 to 11:

  • Hendricks Bridge Park east of milepost 10 on Highway 126.
  • Cloverdale at Bradford Road North, just past the intersection with Cloverdale Road east of Creswell.
  • Sears Road at 78712 Sears Road in Cottage Grove.
