Oregon quarterback Bo Nix made his presence known during his time on the field at the Senior Bowl on Saturday during the National Team’s 16-7 win over the American Team.
Nix, who appeared in two drives, was 4-of-5 for 21 yards including a touchdown pass while scrambling.
Nix’s lone incompletion came on a flea flicker where he delivered a great ball deep down the field with North Carolina’s Devontez Walker dropping the pass.
After the game, National coach Jeff Ulbrich, who’s the New York Jets defensive coordinator, spoke glowingly about Nix.
“He’s just absolutely a winner,” Ulbrich said , per ESPN.
Nix, who turns 24 on Feb. 25, led the nation in passing touchdowns (45) and completion percentage (77.4%) while ranking second in passing yards (4,508) and passing efficiency (188.33). Nix threw just three interceptions last season and rushed for 234 yards and six touchdowns.
Despite Nix’s elite numbers in 2023 and having six years of collegiate experience, he’s not receiving top-tier NFL Draft evaluations across the board. ESPN’s Mel Kiper ranks Nix as his No. 6 QB in the draft and doesn’t include him in his first round mock draft. However, PFF’s Trevor Sikkema has a much more favorable view of Nix and has him going No. 12 overall to the Denver Broncos.
