SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — For the first time in 40 years, nurses in the Eugene-Springfield area took to the streets in a strike against PeaceHealth. Dozens attended the rally in support of the nurses. Many of the nurses at the rally have a background in hospice care, like Jo Turner. One of the principle things the nurses are asking for from PeaceHealth is to be able to retain the nurses that they currently have and recruit good nurses when they need them.
