SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Big changes could be coming to the Eugene-Springfield Fire Department. On February 15, officials presented a case to bring changes to how the agency operates between the two cities. In 2014, Eugene Fire and Springfield Fire merged, allowing the agency to bring in more staff and resources. The agency is now looking to update the relationship, and Chief Michael Caven presented several options.
