Ohio State predicted to land much needed recruit over two Big Ten schools to end the month of June

Ohio State has had its way during the 2025 college football recruiting cycle and that does not look to be changing . Now, the Buckeyes appear to be on the heels of landing another commitment, this time over two new Big Ten schools.

Defensive lineman Trajen Odom is doing to an ounce his comment on June 28 and the Buckeyes are in a prime position to land the 6-foot-4, 285-pound player out of North Carolina. The Oregon Ducks and USC Trojans are both heavily involved in the recruitment.

On3 recruiting insider Steve Wiltfong predicted that the Buckeyes would indeed be picking up the verbal commitment to end the week.

Odom took his official visit to Columbus back on June 7 and visited Oregon and USC each of the following weekends. The soon-to-be high school senior is a four-star player ranked No. 283 in the nation, according to 247 Sports.

With about 40 offers to his name, Odom is one of the more sought-after interior players in the country. It would not be a surprise to see a bump in his rankings after a commitment. As a junior, Odom went out and recorded 54 tackles, 22 TFLs, 4 sacks, and 1 forced fumble in 10 games.
