EUGENE, Ore. – Eugene police are searching for a man they say beat another man with a garden hoe during a fight on Ferry Street Bridge. According to a Eugene Police Department spokesperson, the incident happened at 4:48 a.m. on September 5 after a woman was reportedly walking northbound on the bridge near east Second Avenue. During her walk, she reported a man approaching her and soon began following her.
