Lane County, OR – On September 5, 2024, Lane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an assault involving a firearm in the 91200 block of Marcola Road. A witness provided a description of the vehicle involved, which helped deputies locate it shortly after.
The driver, Tracy Scott Starr, 60, of Springfield, was detained after a traffic stop in Marcola. Deputies found a firearm in his possession and arrested Starr for multiple charges, including Assault in the 3rd Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Menacing, and a contempt of court warrant.
