Eugene police arrest convicted felon who had shotgun in car

EUGENE, Ore. – Several Eugene police officers conducted an operation on Sunday to arrest a man they said was a convicted felon who was in possession of an automatic shotgun. According to the Eugene Police Department, on September 7 an officer heard that a known convicted felon, identified as Leslie Daryl Ray Beebe, 31, was in possession of a firearm. Police said the officer gathered several officers to help investigate and arrest Beebe, and at about 8:24 p.m. on September 8 Beebe was spotted at a 7-Eleven on west Seventh Avenue. Police said the team of officers worked together to stop the vehicle Beebe was spotted in without incident.
