On September 12, 2024, the Springfield Police Department (SPD) tells us an officer observed a drug deal between two individuals, at approximately 5:30 p.m. “The officer was able to coordinate a traffic stop and utilize his K9 partner Cash, who alerted to the possibility of illegal controlled substances in the vehicle,” SPD tells us.
