COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. — Cottage Grove residents reflected on the end of an era, when the now-closed Village Green Hotel was a staple in the community for decades. The Cottage Grove Historical Society hosted a meeting at the Community Center on September 21. During the meeting, former Village Green Hotel guests and employees spoke about what the hotel meant to them. Among the visitors was Brian Woods, a former employee at the hotel. He remembers the hotels heyday and what it was like to work with his coworkers.
