Community Health Centers for Lane County opens rapid-access clinic in west Eugene

In a region where health care access is increasingly strained, a new clinic in west Eugene is aiming to bridge the gap.

Community Health Centers for Lane County has opened a new location in west Eugene, transitioning the former PeaceHealth Urgent Care at 3321 W. 11th Ave. into a rapid-access clinic.

The clinic celebrated a grand opening Wednesday morning, about a month after its launch, to commemorate the integration of this clinic into the Community Health Centers of Lane County (CHCLC) provider network. Four providers currently serve about 64 patients per day, or 320 patients per week, at the new location. The center is open to current, new or prospective clients, and services are available for patients covered by or eligible for coverage through the Oregon Health Plan.

Eve Gray, Lane County’s health and human services director, said CHCLC programs focus on supporting behavioral health needs and the effects of unstable housing, as these two factors heavily impact health and wellness in Lane County.
