EUGENE, Ore. – In late January 2024, Lane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the River Road area for a report of “suspicious conditions.” After reviewing evidence at the scene and area security camera recordings, the responding deputies had reason to believe a sexual assault had occurred in the early morning hours.
