Truck convoy honors memory of driver diagnosed with rare sinus cancer

EUGENE, Ore. – A symphony of horns was the sound heard at Crow High School as a long line of trucks came to honor a fallen driver. Phil Himmel was diagnosed in August of 2023 with a rare form of cancer called adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACC), a type of sinus cancer. ACC is a slow-growing cancer that can develop in many parts of the body, but most often occurs in the salivary glands.
