Te most grueling portion of Purdue’s 2024 schedule began Friday night with the Boilermakers’ sixth consecutive loss, 35-0 to second-ranked Oregon in the first Big Ten meeting between the two programs.

Purdue was shut out for the first time since 2013.

Fresh off a win over Ohio State last weekend, the Ducks scored touchdowns on their first three possessions and never looked back, stifling Purdue’s highly limited offense all night long.

A few quick takeaways …

• Purdue did some decent things offensively in the run game, but it is extremely one-dimensional, with very little pocket-presence potency and next to no big-play potential with what it’s doing right now. Against good defenses who aren’t going to miss tackles and make mistakes, this does not look like an offense that’s going to score like it did for 30 minutes at Illinois.
