As part of one of the best home atmospheres in sports, The Oregon Duck always has a few moves and routines designed to get the crowd in the mood to “Shout!”
He outdid himself last night with a creative intro, coming on to the field before the game with a tribute to Dancing With the Stars.
The World’s Best Mascot and partner Debbie Rice employed mirror balls and spotlights in the tunnel before wowing the crowd with a dance routine to Pink’s “Get This Party Started” before the game.
Rice provided most of the turns and fancy moves but The Duck contributed a Travolta point, a lift, and a few MAGNIFICENT twirls. In all, it was a 9.7, enough to get everyone ready for the roar of the Harley.
Later in the game, Duck great Kenjon Barner celebrated a return to Autzen Stadium by subbing for the Duck on the pushup board after an Oregon touchdown. On the field, the Oregon defensive line batted down six passes and pressured Terps quarterback Billy Edwards into three turnovers to choreograph a 39-18 win.
