Front On The Way, Lots Of Rain, Mountain Snow

Good Morning. Today will be starting calm and ending stormy. The day will begin with cloud cover and fog over the Basin. Fog could stretch into the whole Valley, but as of 4 am, that is not the case. We are staring directly at an approaching storm system today with its landfall set to be somewhere around 2 to 3 pm. Once that arrives, rainfall will first hit the Coast then cover the entire region through the evening. As the front arrives, wind speeds will start to peak along the Coast and stay elevated for the remainder of the day. This system will bring heavy, blowing, snow to the Cascades. The current snow forecasts are however, less active than they looked yesterday, so winter storm warnings have been downgraded to winter weather advisories starting at 5 pm today and running through 5…..
