Wet and Rainy Continues, Mountain Hazards Intensify

Good Morning. Today will be another wet one with heavy blowing winds across the Coast. The day will start off with showers as we deal with the instability left around by yesterday’s dying event. By 11:30 a whole new system will enter the area and begin to distribute consistent and at times heavy rainfall through the rest of the day. Over the Mountains, we are still under a winter weather advisory that will become more relevant with the arrival of the second system. With said arrival, heavy snow will begin to dump over the passes and higher elevations. Santiam pass alone is set to pick up an additional 12 inches of snow for today. Rainfall continues through the evening and into the late night. Temps today are down with an afternoon high landing somewhere between 48 and 50…..
