Driver who failed to yield at stop sign severely injured in crash with log truck, deputies say

EUGENE, Ore. – A two-vehicle crash involving a pickup truck and a log truck in north Eugene severely injured one driver on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

LCSO officials said that sheriff’s deputies responded with fire personnel at 3 p.m. on March 18 to a two-vehicle crash on Prairie Road at Irvington Road that involved a pickup truck and a commercial log truck. A preliminary investigation determined that a silver 2004 Nissan Frontier had failed to stop at a stop sign while driving westbound on Irvington Road and was struck by a red 2006 Kenworth log truck traveling northbound on Prairie Road, deputies said…
